Giving Back: From BBQs to Community Festivals

When I first moved to Lake Elsinore, I wanted to connect with my neighbors and make a positive impact right from the start. The first thing I did was throw a simple BBQ for the neighborhood. What started as a small gathering quickly grew each year, turning into something much bigger.

The We Love America Festival: A Community Celebration

The BBQ eventually evolved into the We Love America Festival—a massive block party for the entire city. We brought in vendor shopping, entertainment, food, and even a beer garden, creating a one-of-a-kind event that Lake Elsinore had never seen before. The festival became a symbol of community spirit and togetherness, drawing in people from all over to celebrate our shared love for the city.

The event’s success didn’t go unnoticed. The then-Mayor of Lake Elsinore was so impressed that he recognized me as Citizen of the Quarter. Today, I’m honored to have the endorsement of Mayor Steve Manos in my campaign for EVMWD District 4 Director, and it all started with a simple idea to bring people together.

Expanding to the Family Fun Fest

After COVID, I wanted to reignite that sense of community and joy, so I expanded the festival into the Family Fun Fest. This event took things to another level, bringing together over 15,000 participants for a day of fun, connection, and celebration. It was a powerful reminder of how resilient and vibrant our community is, and it was incredible to see so many people come together to enjoy what Lake Elsinore has to offer. You can get a glimpse of the event here.

More Than Just Events: Supporting Our Community

Giving back has always been a core part of my journey. Beyond organizing events, I’ve also focused on supporting local families through initiatives like the Dream Center’s Back to School Bash, where I’ve donated thousands of backpacks to kids in need. It’s these moments of giving back that truly define what it means to be part of a community—lifting each other up and making sure everyone has what they need to succeed.

Looking Ahead: Serving in an Official Capacity

Now, I’m excited to give back in a more official capacity by running for EVMWD District 4 Director. This role is an opportunity to continue serving Lake Elsinore, advocating for fair water rates, responsible development, and transparent governance. My goal is to bring the same dedication, passion, and community spirit that has driven my past efforts into this new position.

Giving back isn’t just something I do—it’s who I am. I’m looking forward to working with all of you to keep making Lake Elsinore the best it can be, and I’m excited for the journey ahead.
