Matthew Dobler Terminated

Matthew Dobler Fired for Misconduct

It's disheartening to think about the trust placed in individuals who are meant to serve the most vulnerable in our community, only to see that trust broken. Matthew Dobler was terminated from both the Lake Elsinore Dream Center and the Lake Elsinore Pantry due to undisclosed misconduct, actions that tarnish the very mission of these organizations that provide food and support to those in need.

Dobler, who claimed he "left on good terms" due to a "difference in vision," took advantage of people during one of the lowest points in their lives. It's disconcerting that, instead of addressing his termination, he glossed over it, masking a deeper issue. The Dream Center, which has been a pillar of hope for countless families in Lake Elsinore, deserves leaders who uphold its values, not those who exploit them.

Ironically, it was Dobler who introduced Jason Devor to the Dream Center, where Jason has become one of its most devoted contributors. Jason donates thousands of dollars annually in printing services and is the lead sponsor for the Back to School Bash, providing thousands of backpacks to children in need each year.

Meanwhile, Dobler was given a second chance at the Lake Elsinore Chamber of Commerce, hired by his friend and former running mate, Kim Cousins. It's a troubling pattern of evading accountability, underscoring why character and integrity should be paramount in leadership roles.

And while Dobler has tried to obscure the truth, it was confirmed by his direct report boss at the Dream Center that his departure was not voluntary—it was the result of misconduct. This isn’t about differing visions, as he has claimed. It’s about trust, or rather, the violation of it.

In times like these, we must prioritize transparency and ethical leadership. Leaders like Jason Devor, who not only support the community but do so with an unwavering commitment to its people, are what we need. The future of Lake Elsinore deserves better, and that starts with electing leaders who are truthful and dedicated to serving, not self-serving.
