The Power of Experience: Why My Background Makes Me the Right Choice
Experience matters, especially when it comes to making important decisions about our community's resources. My background spans years of leadership in real estate, community building, and local business development, and I believe this unique combination of experience positions me as the most qualified candidate for the Water Board.
As a real estate broker for over 15 years, I have worked extensively with local property developers and business owners. My understanding of how development impacts our water usage and infrastructure is critical. I’ve seen firsthand the challenges families and businesses face with water rates and availability, and I’ve worked alongside city planners to tackle those issues.
Beyond my professional life, I’ve been deeply invested in our community. What started as a simple BBQ to meet my new neighbors a decade ago evolved into a passion for community-driven events like the Family Fun Fest, which now draws over 15,000 attendees. Through my nonprofit organization, Temecula Valley Community Events, I’ve partnered with local businesses to fund scholarships for students pursuing trade skills and careers in technical education. These experiences have given me a real-world understanding of our community’s needs and the ability to bring people together to address them.
Our water district needs someone who knows how to streamline operations and manage resources wisely. That’s where my business experience comes in. In my career, I’ve honed skills in cutting unnecessary expenses and investing in future growth—a mindset that can be applied to our water infrastructure. I believe we need to focus on acquiring more water rights, reducing waste, and improving internal operations so we can keep rates affordable and our water supply sustainable.
